The tales of innovation in Bra

Updated: Sep 19, 2020

Biotechnology and textile innovations

In field of advance medical science and biotechnology we are trying to solve many areas of healthcare issues. They are deeply related from real life experience and are making the world better place for woman.

let us look into few innovations that can be reason to celebrate.

Early stage of breast cancer-detecting Bra

The picture is showing the symptoms of breast cancer using lemon, and mainly making aware of how does it look.

EVA higia technology was established by a Mexican teenager and his group, later In India a group of scientists from Trissur, Kerala came up with a similar idea with a much lower production cost.which can help women to detect the breast cancer without any painful process.

We need to understand how the bra works.

How do these Bra works?

The human body has this phenomenon called angiogenesis. When there' is a tumor or an abnormal mass, that object is surrounded by blood vessels because the tumor needs to grow, and blood gives oxygen and nutrients that allow it to do . So, when you have breast cancer, there is more blood flow, and since blood is the main fluid circulating in the body, it increases one's temperature. Distinct tumors at distinct depths and of distinct sizes in the breast have thermal curves with very marked characteristics. In other words, a stage-three tumor looks thermally distinct compared to one in stage one or one in stage four.

Eva Higia is a collection of thermal biosensors that are placed on the woman's breast. For reference: See the pictures. They record the temperature of the breast every second, assessing how the blood is flowing between the breasts. Once it has an idea about the blood circulation, the data is analyzed using artificial intelligence algorithms; a huge number of readings. These algorithms are essential; they go from being temperature readings to a diagnosis. This occurs in the following way: You have a patient's thermal conductivity curve and you analyze that curve, comparing it to an enormous database that includes thousands of confirmed cancer cases, or thousands of confirmed cases of mastitis or inflammation, etc.

Then the algorithm begins to say, "OK, this looks a lot like stage-two cancer, or a healthy breast, or a cyst." It's very easy to use. It's just taking the device and placing it on the breast; then, you take your phone, open the app, begin the reading, and all of the data is sent in real-time via mobile app. The algorithms begin to work, and voila, produce a risk evaluation.

.

What are the data points that the device compares its information against?

Before thinking about commercialization or sales, clinical studies have to be conducted. These studies involve putting the device on thousands of women with breast cancer, thousands of women who are free of any type of inflammation, women who are ovulating [or] pregnant, women with reconstructive surgery, so that when the algorithm stumbles across an outlier—in other words when it encounters the real world via the device—that data can be compared. This data collection has been done this whole year along with partners like Instituto Mexican del Seguro Social and public and private hospitals.

Heart disease detecting Bra

It's fairly well known that heart disease is the leading cause of death in men, but it's also the same for women

This invention deals with detecting early signs of heart disease. A MIT grad student with her team and STEM organization are working towards this advance textile.

They are leveraging exponential technology by building washable, flexible circuits that can be seamlessly embedded into fabrics.

And this fabric will be placed on the bra cup area.

These will be connected via Bluetooth to an app on the phone.

target focuses on tracking elements of cardiovascular disease.

Our first circuits are being embedded in women's bras and will inform users about their electrocardiograms, pulse rates, respiratory rates, heart rhythms, and more.

The app gives information on key metrics and provides interactive tools to help women improve their heart health

The user will have the choice of sharing the information gathered to caregivers and/or doctors, enabling them direct access to patient-specific insights.

It will look and feel exactly like the Bra we wear.

Currently is in the process of manufacturing and then will be given for evaluations and records results. This is the latest technological advancement in the field of apparel and medical science.

and i am looking forward to it..

Mastectomy Bra

Mastectomy is the medical term for the surgical removal of one or both breasts, partially or completely. A mastectomy is usually carried out to treat breast cancer. In some cases, people believed to be at high risk of breast cancer have the operation as a preventive measure.

The very special materials used in their making and of course exceptional cuts make the mastectomy bras functional as well as fashionable.

The integrated pockets at the cup provide the breast prosthesis with the ideal support. Perfectly coordinated with prostheses, it offers unique, high-quality wearing comfort.

Disable inclusive lingerie

The very outfit starts with a basic bra and a pair of underwear. But what if your disability makes it difficult to even get on a traditional bra and underwear.

Magnetic opening bra, side opening panties, and period panties.

To change this whole idea lingerie which is both FUNCTIONAL for women with disabilities but also the FASHIONABLE needs of women with disabilities are introduced in an online platform.

Bra for Elderly woman

WHY ELDERLY WOMEN NEED TO WEAR BRAS

The following are some important reasons why elderly women should wear bras.

  • As women become older, their skin, muscles and tendons become weak. This leaves them with little or no support on their breasts. Bras can come to the rescue at this time. Elderly women’s bras provide seniors with the support they require.

  • Irrespective of age, bras give a woman’s breasts shape. If you’re an aged woman and you’d still like to feel and look beautiful, wear a bra every day.

  • If an active elderly woman that doesn’t wear a bra frequently, may begin to experience unexplained back and chest pains at the end of the day. This is especially if the breast is big. The best way to prevent this is to take proper care of your breasts by wearing a bra.

  • Also related to active senior ladies, not wearing a bra while conducting physical activities, your breasts will start dangling.

  • Finally, the breasts of senior women are naturally infirm and saggy. This is not their fault. It’s often as a result of childbirth and age. If you want breast to have a firm shape, wear a bra.

An older woman suffering from joint pain or Arthritis, with limited arm and hand movement or mobility due to physical illness such as a stroke, multiple sclerosis, or fibromyalgia which limits upper body dexterity. When someone needs help getting dressed by family members or care workers. These bras are specifically designed to easily slip on or off with or without assistance. Whether senior or not, front and back closure adaptive bras are designed for ease of dress, comfort, support, and to promote independence.

Ease Arthritic Front Closure Bra. With its 3 extra flat large hooks, makes for easy grasping and closure. As an added feature there are also VELCRO® brand front closures. Fingers easily slip into front large finger loops so closing your bra is a breeze. Wide shoulder straps minimize shoulder stress or pain avoiding painful pressure points. These bras offer full, medium support along with full coverage for a perfect fit.

Some added bra features are latex-free, with or without underwire support, and are available in all sizes promoting everybody's weight is beautiful. Can be washed in a washing machine.

Performance enhanced Bra with 4D technology.

We all have a smartphone, but have you ever heard of a smart bra?

Revolutionary Fit Smart bra, available in four sizes, with an intelligent support system that molds to women's unique shapes. With customers searching out more personalized solutions, created an innovation that adapts to personal shapes but still delivers best-in-class support, and looks beautiful.

engineered an intelligent 4D-engineered stretch lace. It moves and adapts to a woman's body. Research shows that we all have one breast larger than the other and that can change up to a cup size during the month – the idea behind this 4D stretch lace is that it constantly adapts to the wearer's body throughout the day and month.

Another big plus for many will be the fact it's a non-wired bra. Traditionally a non-wired bra meant 'less support' or a 'sausage effect shape' but that's not the case with the Fit Smart bra. As well as the 4D stretch lace the bra has 4D stretch foam cups, which create a natural, round and flattering bust shape that claim to support all boob sizes, big and small.

Sustainable way of Bra

There are international lingerie brands that are looking for sustainable fabric to produce their lingerie, and are taking a step towards a Eco- friendly methods.

This is a great initiative towards the environment, as we can change our daily wear to organic and sustainable textiles, which use lesser resources and easier to reuse or recycle.

Sustainability is a state of mind, and we need continuous improvement.

Let's not exploit our resources any further and preserve the goodness for our future.

I have already highlighted textile from bamboo and organic hemp or cotton.

Also providing you the link of an article, where they have introduce all the brands which work with organic and sustainable way.

Biotechnology advancements are remarkable in the field of textile and women health care.

And we still think, talking about Bra is a taboo.

We are surrounded by such technologies and development we need to explore and keep evolving.

If one door is closing we should open ourselves another door.

Keep yourself open to wisdom.

Be a smart consumer.

Because supply and demand are both ways.

So, if you are not a smart consumer than soon there will be no need for a smart market. Think about it twice.
